Essi Organic
An Important Update from Essi Organic
What this means for you
My current stock of Essi Organic is the last of my existing supply. As of writing this on 19/2/2026 I have kept enough to fulfil all subscription orders for one further month, so if you are currently on a subscription and choose to continue, this will roll over for one more month regardless of what the stock level shows on the website.
If you feel you would like to continue your eight-herb Essiac journey, you can order directly from Genuine Essiac. By ordering in bulk and purchasing a few months at a time, you may be able to access pricing close to what I was previously offering.
Looking ahead, unless I am able to source genuine sheep sorrel with root to create my own blend, the packs available through my website will be supplied by Just Tea LLC.
I trust this company absolutely, and after much deliberation have decided that having an organic supply of the original four key herbs matters more than offering all eight herbs without certainty around quality or ratios.
I have followed Just Tea’s story for some time and am confident in their integrity. I’m truly pleased to be working with them, as this partnership allows me to continue my mission of bringing high-quality Essiac to the UK.
A further note on this decision
I want to reiterate that I do not take decisions like this lightly. This is not something I could have foreseen, and Genuine Essiac did not consult or inform their resellers before beginning changes to their product. This placed me in a position where I needed to make carefully considered decisions in order to uphold the vision of Essi Organic.
A note of reassurance
I want to reassure you that while the taste, quantities, and brewing instructions for your Essiac will be changing going forward, this does not mean the tea is weaker or less effective.
FAQs – What this means for you
Will the tea taste different?
Yes — it may. Herbal teas naturally vary in bitterness and flavour depending on herb ratios, cut, and freshness. A different taste does not indicate reduced quality or effectiveness.
Will the quantities I take or the brewing instructions change?
Possibly. Each blend has its own preparation and serving guidance to ensure proper extraction of the herbs. Any updated instructions are designed specifically for the blend you are using.
Does this mean the tea is less effective?
No. Changes in taste, volume, or preparation do not reflect reduced effectiveness.
Why are the instructions different from what I’ve used before?
Because Essiac blends are not all identical. Differences in herb ratios, processing, and tradition mean instructions must sometimes change to suit the blend properly.
Will bag sizes be different?
Yes. As the traditional four-herb blend does not include the additional four herbs found in the eight-herb formula, bag sizes will be smaller. This reflects the composition of the blend, not a reduction in quality or intention.
Will Essi Organic still have its own packaging and labels?
At present, Just Tea LLC only allows resale in their original packaging, meaning Essi Organic will be fully reselling their product rather than rebranding it. This ensures transparency and preserves the integrity of the supply chain.
Why move to a four-herb blend rather than keep all eight herbs?
After much consideration, I have chosen to prioritise a trusted, organic supply of the original four herbs with clear sourcing and ratios, rather than continue with a higher herb count where these could not be reliably confirmed.
You can visit Just Tea to learn more about the new blend, or have a look and decide if you would like to order directly from
Genuine Essiac if you wish to continue with the eight-herb version.
If you have any questions or would like clarification on anything above, please feel free to get in touch.
With gratitude,
Rachel
